In what may be the first major announcement since investors seized controlling of the ailing company, Take Two today revealed their plans to release the recent PC RPG Silverfall on Sony’s PlayStation Portable this June. Unfortunately, the agreement is so far only for European territories, and no U.S. release plans were mentioned. However, the North American market cannot be denied, and we are hopeful Silverfall (which is already available here for the computer) will fall elsewhere - whether by Atari or Take Two - but we’ll keep you up to date of any new information.
Developed by Monte Cristo games, in the world of Silverfall, players must choose whether to fight on the side of nature or technology. Like most role-playing games, the fantasy world is filled with a myriad of characters who will join you on your quests and several branching skill paths to explore. On the PSP version of Silverfall, the multiplayer modes allow players to go head-to-head with up to four people, or allow two to play co-operatively together. As usual, further information can be found in the full press release below:

The title will be available in June 2007.

Players must take sides between the two great powers in a world where forces of nature and technology collide. Throughout the adventure, the player makes choices that directly affect his or her destiny.

"We are thrilled to be working with Monte Cristo Games to bring this title to European consumers,” said James Ellingford, International Managing Director of Take-Two. “Silverfall is another great game for the PSP system and we’re confident players will find this pure action RPG adventure highly rewarding.”
