Google is virtually everywhere these days, even on the gas pumps that dish out the $4 a gallon gas you'll use to fuel your increasingly-expensive vacation this year. Now you can add Sony's PlayStation Portable to the list, as today Sony announced that firmware v4.00 will soon be released, and add integrated Google search directly to the XMB.
The results from the new Google search functionality will be exactly the same as you'll find on the site itself, with the PSP remembering your 20 most recent searches for easy recalling. It will be accessed via the new Internet Search icon.
The v4.00 update will also add the ability to change viewing speeds of videos stored on your Memory Stick, with the speed adjustable simply by pressing up or down on the d-pad during playback.
